我说一下我想到的关于这个翻译的问题或是值得推敲的地方：
1. greedy 一次在 oxford languages 中的释义为“having or showing an intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth or power”，即对某物有强烈的自私的欲望，尤其是财富和权力。放在这个语境中可能不太合适，值得推敲；
2. 腊八、二十三等日期用词的翻译为“the xx day of the twelfth lunar month”；
3. "is the year" 于一不太对，个人感觉改为 "After the 8th day of the twelfth lunar month, the year will be around the corner/is coming"合适一些；
4. "on and off" 的释义为 intermittently，即间歇地，感觉不太合适。这一句的翻译值得讨论，但我感觉可以略过不翻译；
5. 应当在行为前加上主语 (I/We often/will ...)；
6. 建议注意一下译文和原文的语义差异与语法错误。
