Harry’s mouth went rather dry. What on earth was he going to do? He was starting to attract a lot of funny looks, because of Hedwig. He’d
have to ask someone.
He stopped a passing guard, but didn’t dare mention platform nine and three-quarters.

这个保安从来没有听说过霍格沃兹，特别是当哈利连这个学校在哪里都不知道的时候，他开始生气了，就好像哈利是在故意愚弄他。
事情变得绝望起来，哈利问了一下11点钟班次的列车，但是这个保安告诉他没有这趟列车。最后这个保安大步离开了哈利，
嘴里一直在嘟哝着浪费时间。哈利尝试让自己冷静下来。根据车站休息室的大钟来看，哈利还有10分钟赶上去往霍格沃兹的列车，但是哈利不知道怎么办。
哈利呆呆地站在一个站台的中间，带着他那些他根本拿不动的行李，满满一口袋魔法师的钱，还有一只大猫头鹰。
海格力肯定是忘记和哈利说一些他必须要做的事情，就如同去往对角巷的时候得拍一拍左边第三块砖头。
他想知道是否这个时候他应该拿出他的魔杖开始拍打站台9和站台10之间的检票口。
正在这个时候，一群人从身后路过，他听见了一些话：“-装满了麻瓜，当然-”
