Have you ever felt this way?

You’re scrolling through social media, looking at everyone else’s life,

and suddenly your own everyday routine feels “below standard.”

Their trips, bodies, outfits, achievements…

and you start wondering: Am I the only one living this ordinary life?

This is the “parallel universe” that social media creates:

Treating chance as the norm (who really eats brunch every single day?)

Mistaking results for the process (those abs stand on 365 days of discipline)

Taking fragments as the whole (no one films the nights they work overtime and cry)

My coping rules:

1、Install an “un-filter” in your eyes.
When you see a perfect photo, automatically picture:
1 hour of retouching + 50 staged shots + the messy corner cropped out.

2、Create “reality anchors.”
Every day, record 3 genuine little joys:
Today there was a seat on the subway / the delivery came with a free side dish.

3、Deliberately stage “anti-perfect moments.”
When you post, leave a flaw on purpose:
Show your breakfast with the edge of toast slightly burnt.

Remember:

• What we envy is never someone else’s life itself,
• but the possibilities we’ve imagined—
• those that have been polished by filters.
