<试一试>
After two or three weeks, there was no laugh. A king had a lot of work to do, James, you know. He had to read thousands of letter; to talk with the people; to think carefully about many important things. I did it every day, and now, I thought I had a man to help with me.
"Henry, my husband," I said. "Do you want to read the letters with me? You can be with me, and work with me every day."
Your father looked like unhappy. "I'm not interested in that work," he said. "I don't know it."
"Of course not," I said. "You are young, my dear. But I can teach you."
He sat with me for a day or two, I tried to teach him. But he was right, indeed, he was not interested in the work, and didn't try to understand it.
"You do it, Mary," he said. "I'm going outside with friends, we are going to ride horses, drink and swim."
So I did all the work again. At night, he often go outside with the friends in the village. They drank a lot, laughed and sang, and often fighted. But nobody said anything, because he was the king, my husband. What could people say?
